Description

Hoshino Seicha’s Yame Matcha “Yame no Tsuyu” is a premium matcha produced in Yame, one of Japan’s most respected tea-growing regions.

This matcha is known for its rich aroma and distinctive roasted nuance, a characteristic flavor often found in high-quality Yame matcha. When whisked, it reveals a deep umami taste with a gentle natural sweetness and a smooth, rounded finish.

Unlike sharper matcha varieties, Yame no Tsuyu offers a balanced flavor profile—the roasted notes create warmth and depth, while the natural sweetness softens the mild bitterness. This makes it enjoyable both for traditional tea preparation and for everyday matcha drinking.

The vibrant green color and creamy texture reflect the careful cultivation and processing techniques used by Hoshino Seicha, a respected tea producer in Yame, Fukuoka.

Whether you are new to Japanese matcha or a long-time enthusiast, Yame no Tsuyu provides a rich and satisfying matcha experience that highlights the unique character of Yame-grown tea.

About Hoshinoen
Hoshinoen is one of Japan's leading matcha factories. A relatively new factory, it began full-scale matcha production in 1989 and produces its tea in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, a region famous for its gyokuro tea. Incorporating traditional gyokuro techniques, Hoshinoen produces high-quality matcha with a sweet flavor. One of our artisans is the youngest person ever to achieve the 10th Dan rank of tea master. We focus on quality and continue to produce small quantities, rather than mass-produced.
