Sensaicha, written in Japanese as 仙斎茶, is a deep greenish-brown color that became fashionable during Japan’s Edo period. Its subdued mixture of green and brown changes subtly according to the surrounding light, complementing the silk-weave dial pattern and polished dial furniture.

Inspired by Japanese Functional Beauty
The PRESAGE Classic Series draws inspiration from the Japanese concept of “yo no bi,” or beauty found in objects designed for practical use. Its colors, materials and textures reference traditional crafts and clothing that combine everyday function with restrained visual elegance.
The SARX123 expresses this philosophy through softly curved components rather than sharp or heavily ornamented surfaces. Its rounded case, dual-curved crystal and gently domed dial work together to create a balanced profile with a warm, tactile appearance.
Sensaicha Green-Brown Dial
The dial color is officially identified as Sensaicha, a traditional Japanese shade that combines deep green and brown tones. The color became popular during the Edo period and provides a restrained alternative to conventional green or brown watch dials.
A fine stamped pattern recreates the appearance of a softly woven silk textile. The dial itself curves gently toward its center, and the upper surfaces of the indexes and the tips of the minute and seconds hands are shaped to follow its rounded profile.
The dial is not made from actual silk. Its texture and luster are created to evoke the softness and woven appearance of silk fabric while maintaining the durability expected of a modern watch dial.
A framed date window is positioned at three o’clock. The “AUTOMATIC 3 DAYS” inscription identifies the approximately three-day power reserve provided by the Caliber 6R55.
Mechanical Caliber 6R55
The SARX123 is powered by SEIKO’s Caliber 6R55, a mechanical movement supporting both automatic winding through wrist motion and manual winding through the crown. It operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and uses 24 jewels.
When fully wound, the movement provides approximately 72 hours of power reserve. This three-day reserve allows the watch to be removed for much of a weekend while retaining enough stored energy to continue running.
Functions include a date display and a stop-seconds mechanism for more precise time setting. SEIKO states an accuracy range of +25 to −15 seconds per day when the watch is worn on the wrist within the specified temperature range of 5°C to 35°C.
Curved Case and Sapphire Crystal
The stainless steel case measures 40.2 mm across, 46.0 mm from lug to lug and 13.0 mm thick. Its flowing surfaces visually coordinate with the curved dial and dual-curved sapphire crystal.
An anti-reflective coating is applied to the inner surface of the sapphire crystal to reduce distracting reflections. The stainless steel exterior receives SEIKO’s DiaShield surface treatment, which is designed to provide improved resistance to everyday scratches compared with untreated stainless steel.
Newly Developed Multi-Row Bracelet
The stainless steel bracelet takes inspiration from the flexible multi-row bracelets commonly seen on watches during the 1970s. Its small, rounded links are designed to articulate smoothly around the wrist and reduce the contact area against the skin.
DiaShield is also applied to the bracelet. A push-button butterfly-style deployment clasp creates a clean appearance when closed, while the 20 mm attachment width balances the proportions of the 40.2 mm case.
See-Through Case Back
The screw case back incorporates a sapphire crystal window through which the Caliber 6R55 can be viewed. Because the case back is threaded, the final orientation of its markings may vary between individual watches.
The SARX123 is rated to 10 bar water resistance and has magnetic resistance. It is intended as a refined everyday mechanical watch rather than a professional diving watch.

SARX123 is the Japanese domestic reference and is distributed in Japan through SEIKO Global Brand Core Shops. This is a specialist retail-channel designation and does not indicate a numbered or time-limited production run.
