The SEIKO PROSPEX SBDJ061 is a solar-powered men’s diver’s watch combining practical diving specifications with a versatile 41.0 mm case. Its navy-blue dial and contrasting red-and-blue bezel give the watch a distinctive sporting appearance, complemented by a stainless-steel case and bracelet.
Navy Dial and Red-and-Blue Bezel
The navy-blue dial uses bold hour markers and clearly defined hands for quick, intuitive reading. A contrasting red-and-blue unidirectional rotating bezel, commonly described as a Pepsi-style color combination, gives the watch a recognizable maritime character.
LumiBrite is applied to the hands, hour markers and bezel to support visibility in dark conditions. A date window provides everyday practicality while maintaining the clean, functional layout expected from a diver’s watch.
Solar Caliber V157
The SBDJ061 is powered by SEIKO’s solar Caliber V157. Light captured through the dial is converted into electrical energy, reducing the need for conventional battery replacement. When fully charged, the watch operates for approximately ten months.
The movement provides an average monthly accuracy of ±15 seconds. It also features overcharge prevention, an instant-start function and a date calendar, and uses two jewels.
Comfortable Stainless-Steel Case
The stainless-steel case measures 41.0 mm in diameter, 48.8 mm from lug to lug and 11.3 mm thick. Its relatively slim, low-profile shape is designed to provide a secure and comfortable fit while preserving the substantial construction required of a diving watch.
A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial. The case is equipped with a screw-down crown, screw case back and unidirectional rotating bezel.
Diver’s Bracelet and 200 m Water Resistance
The stainless-steel bracelet is fitted with a secure three-fold clasp, push-button release and diver extension. It accommodates a maximum wrist circumference of approximately 200 mm and connects to the case at 20 mm lugs.
The watch provides 200 m air-diving water resistance and magnetic resistance. Its luminous display, unidirectional bezel, screw-down crown and secure clasp construction support reliable use as a practical diving instrument.
