Dark Red Samurai Design
The SBDY129 is distinguished by its dark red dial and coordinating red bezel. Applied luminous indexes and broad hands create a clear, legible display, while the date window provides a practical calendar function. LumiBrite is used on the hands, indexes and bezel marker to support visibility in dark environments.
The model retains the sharply faceted case styling associated with the Samurai family. Angular lugs, strong case lines and a guarded crown give it a technical appearance, while the 41.7 mm case width makes this generation more compact than earlier Samurai designs.
Mechanical Caliber 4R35
Inside the SBDY129 is SEIKO’s Caliber 4R35, a mechanical movement that supports both automatic winding through wrist motion and manual winding through the crown. The movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, uses 23 jewels and provides approximately 41 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
A stop-seconds mechanism allows the seconds hand to be halted when setting the time. The stated accuracy range is +45 to −35 seconds per day under SEIKO’s specified normal-temperature testing conditions.
200 m Air-Diving Water Resistance
The stainless steel case is fitted with a screw-down crown, screw case back and unidirectional rotating bezel. Water resistance is rated to 200 metres for air diving. The bezel can be used to monitor elapsed time and rotates in only one direction to help prevent an accidental increase in the displayed dive time.
The Hardlex crystal offers practical impact resistance, while the hands, indexes and bezel marker feature LumiBrite. The watch also has magnetic resistance rated by the corresponding international model at 4,800 A/m.
Stainless Steel Diver’s Bracelet
The SBDY129 is supplied on a 20 mm stainless steel bracelet. Its push-button three-fold clasp incorporates a secure lock and diver’s extension, allowing the bracelet to be expanded when additional clearance is required. The bracelet accommodates a wrist circumference of up to approximately 205 mm.

SBDY129 is the Japanese domestic reference and was released in Japan on July 6, 2024. The corresponding international reference is SRPL11, also shown in some markets as SRPL11K1.
