Classic A159W Design
The A159W series has maintained its familiar retro character since its original introduction in 1989. The angular digital case and multi-row stainless steel band create a versatile design suited to both casual and more polished everyday styles. The current A159WA-N1JH Japanese reference was released in February 2025.
Made in Japan
The A159W is manufactured at Yamagata Casio, the company’s watch manufacturing facility in Japan. Its Made in Japan designation refers to the country of manufacture, while JDM identifies A159WA-N1JH as the reference intended for the Japanese domestic market.
Compact and Lightweight Construction
The resin case measures 36.8 × 33.2 × 8.5 mm and weighs 44 g with the stainless steel band. An adjustable clasp allows the band length to be changed without a conventional removable-link adjustment. Resin glass protects the digital display.

Module 593 provides regular timekeeping with hours, minutes, seconds, date and day. Additional functions include a 1/100-second stopwatch with split timing and first- and second-place measurement, a daily alarm, an hourly time signal and selectable 12- or 24-hour time display.
LED Light and Seven-Year Battery Life
An LED light illuminates the digital display when needed. The watch is powered by a CR2016 lithium battery with an approximate operating life of seven years under the manufacturer’s specified usage conditions.
