G-SHOCK FULL METAL GMW-B5000 SERIES GMW-B5000D-1JF
The G-SHOCK GMW-B5000D-1JF brings the iconic square design of the original 1983 DW-5000C into a full-metal stainless-steel construction. Its silver exterior is paired with Tough Solar power, MULTIBAND 6 radio-controlled timekeeping, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and a high-contrast STN digital display.
Original Square Design in Full Metal
The familiar square form of the first G-SHOCK is recreated with a stainless-steel bezel, case and bracelet. Fine-resin cushioning components are positioned between the metal bezel and case, allowing the watch to retain G-SHOCK shock resistance while using a full-metal exterior.
The stainless-steel bracelet features dimpled links inspired by the resin band of the original model. Hairline and mirror-polished surfaces emphasize the metal construction while preserving the functional character of the 5000 design.
Screw-Lock Case Back with DLC Treatment
The watch uses a solid screw-lock case back designed for secure sealing. Diamond-like carbon treatment is applied to the case back to improve resistance to surface wear.
STN Digital Display
A high-contrast STN LCD provides a wider viewing angle than a conventional TN display. The film solar panel is designed to reduce reflections and support clear digital visibility while supplying power to the Tough Solar system.
Tough Solar and MULTIBAND 6
The Tough Solar charging system converts light into electrical energy. MULTIBAND 6 receives compatible standard time signals in Japan, North America, Europe and China, while Bluetooth connectivity enables additional automatic time adjustment through the CASIO WATCHES application.
When neither standard time signals nor smartphone synchronization is available, the watch operates with an accuracy of approximately ±15 seconds per month. From a full charge without further light exposure, operating time is approximately 10 months under normal use or approximately 22 months with power saving activated.
Bluetooth Smartphone Link
Connection with the CASIO WATCHES application enables automatic time adjustment, simplified watch settings, world-time selection from approximately 300 cities and user-defined points, reminders, Time & Place records and phone finder.
Practical Digital Functions
The watch includes five world-time selections, a 24-hour stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, a full auto-calendar and a white LED Super Illuminator. Its stainless-steel construction is supported by shock resistance and 20-bar water resistance.
Japanese Domestic Market Model
GMW-B5000D-1JF is the Japanese domestic reference, while GMW-B5000D-1 is used as the corresponding international reference. CASIO separately identifies the Japanese model as Made in Japan.
