The G-SHOCK GWX-8904K-7JR is a Japan-market collaboration model created in support of ICERC Japan under the “Love The Sea And The Earth” theme. Released in June 2022, its white exterior and rainbow-colored metal bezel represent a rainbow appearing in the spray created by dolphins and whales.
Rainbow IP Bezel and Whale-Inspired Details
The mirror-finished stainless-steel bezel features multicolor gradient ion plating, giving each viewing angle a distinctive rainbow appearance. ICERC Japan branding appears on the band, while the case back is engraved with the “Love The Sea And The Earth” symbol. Activating the LED backlight reveals a whale silhouette on the digital display.
Tough Solar and MULTIBAND 6
Tough Solar technology converts available light into power, reducing the need for regular battery replacement. MULTIBAND 6 radio-controlled timekeeping receives calibration signals in Japan, North America, Europe and China, automatically maintaining accurate time when reception conditions permit.
Tide Graph and Moon Data
Based on the GWX-8900 platform, this model includes a three-level tide graph with preset data for 100 locations and an adjustable high-tide time. Moon data displays the moon age and moon phase, making the watch particularly useful for marine activities and coastal recreation.
Built for Active Use
The shock-resistant construction and 20-bar water resistance provide the durability expected from G-SHOCK. Additional functions include world time, a 1/100-second stopwatch, configurable interval timers, five daily alarms and a full-auto LED Super Illuminator.
Environmentally Conscious Packaging
The collaboration was supplied in environmentally conscious packaging using recycled paper and a reusable fabric pouch. This packaging concept reflects the marine-conservation message behind the ICERC Japan partnership.
