Practical Field-Inspired Dial
The black analog dial uses prominent Arabic hour numerals and a separate inner 24-hour scale to create an easy-to-read field-watch layout. The day and date are displayed together at 3 o’clock, providing useful calendar information without disrupting the balanced dial design.
The Japanese-market configuration features a bilingual Japanese and English day display. LumiBrite is applied to the hands and indexes to improve visibility in low-light conditions.
Automatic Caliber 4R36
The SBSA111 is powered by SEIKO’s Caliber 4R36 mechanical movement. It winds automatically through normal wrist movement and can also be wound manually through the crown. The movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour, contains 24 jewels and provides approximately 41 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
A stop-seconds function allows the seconds hand to be stopped when setting the time. SEIKO specifies an accuracy range of +45 to −35 seconds per day when the watch is worn on the wrist within a temperature range of 5°C to 35°C.
Stainless Steel Construction
The stainless steel case measures 48.1 mm in length, 39.4 mm in width and 13.2 mm in thickness. A curved Hardlex crystal protects the dial, while the stainless steel bracelet uses a push-button three-fold clasp with an additional secure-lock mechanism.
The see-through screw case back provides a view of the mechanical movement. The complete watch weighs approximately 146 g, and the bracelet accommodates wrists measuring up to approximately 205 mm.
Everyday Water and Magnetic Resistance
The SBSA111 is rated for 10-bar water resistance and also features magnetic resistance. These specifications support everyday use, but the model is not identified by SEIKO as an ISO-certified diver’s watch and should not be described as a professional diving instrument.
