SEIKO 5 Sports SKX series SBSA321 Pink Panther Limited Edition
The SEIKO 5 Sports SBSA321 is a Japanese Domestic Market collaboration model inspired by the playful world of the Pink Panther. Based on the compact 38 mm SKX series design, this automatic watch combines a vivid pink dial, character-inspired details and practical day-and-date timekeeping.
Inspired by The Pink Phink
The design draws inspiration from The Pink Phink, the first Pink Panther animated short. In the story, the Pink Panther mischievously paints the Little Man’s house pink, a theme expressed across the watch through its dial, bezel and seconds hand.
The pink dial is decorated with the character’s footprints, recreating the clue that helps the Little Man discover the Pink Panther. The bezel numerals use a playful typeface connected to the original animation.
Automatic Calibre 4R36
The watch is powered by SEIKO automatic calibre 4R36, which can also be wound manually. It provides an approximately 41-hour power reserve and includes a stop-seconds function for more precise time setting.
A day-and-date display at 3 o’clock provides convenient calendar information. The stated movement accuracy is +45 to −35 seconds per day under the conditions specified by SEIKO.
Compact SKX series Case
The stainless-steel case measures 38.0 mm across, 44.2 mm from lug to lug and 12.1 mm thick. Its compact dimensions preserve the recognisable SKX series styling while making the watch suitable for a broad range of wrist sizes.
The watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel, Hardlex crystal, LumiBrite on the hands and hour markers, and 10-bar water resistance.
Two Wearing Options
The SBSA321 is supplied on a stainless-steel bracelet with a secure-lock folding clasp. An interchangeable pink nylon strap is also included. The strap carries the Pink Panther’s footprints and the words WET PAINT at its tip, referencing the original animated story.
Limited-Edition Case Back
The see-through screw case back depicts the Pink Panther hiding against a pink wall. LIMITED EDITION wording and an individual serial number are engraved around the case-back edge.
This collaboration is limited to 9,999 pieces worldwide, including 999 pieces allocated to the Japanese market. It is presented in an original box inspired by the Little Man’s house after it has been painted pink.
