The SEIKO ASTRON Nexter SBXY099 combines the modern, angular design language of the Nexter series with a compact 36.0 mm titanium case. Its gray-silver dial, integrated case-and-bracelet profile and slim 8.7 mm thickness create a refined appearance designed for comfortable everyday wear.
Powered by SEIKO's solar radio-controlled Caliber 7B62, the watch can receive standard time signals in Japan, China, the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom. It also provides approximately nine months of operation when fully charged or approximately two years with power save activated.
Compact Nexter Design
The SBXY099 carries forward the distinctive design codes of the ASTRON Nexter series in a smaller and slimmer format. Its sharply defined multi-angular titanium bezel, solid case construction and integrated case-and-bracelet profile create a modern, streamlined silhouette.
The case measures 42.0 mm in length, 36.0 mm in width and 8.7 mm in thickness. Combined with the lightweight titanium construction and an approximate weight of 78 g, these proportions provide a compact alternative to larger ASTRON models.
Gray-Silver Crystal-Pattern Dial
The gray-silver dial features a precise crystal-box pattern that gives its surface a structured, three-dimensional appearance. Multi-faceted indexes and three-faceted hour and minute hands reflect light from different angles, adding visual depth while maintaining a clean analog display.
A sapphire crystal with Super Clear Coating protects the dial. The coating is designed to reduce reflections and support clear viewing from different angles.
Solar Radio-Controlled Caliber 7B62
The SBXY099 is powered by SEIKO Caliber 7B62, a solar quartz movement that converts light into electrical energy. When fully charged, the movement operates for approximately nine months under normal conditions or approximately two years when the power-save function is activated.
The movement automatically receives compatible terrestrial standard time signals to correct the displayed time and date. Reception is supported in Japan, China, the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom. Signal reception depends on the selected time difference, location and reception conditions.
When a standard time signal cannot be received, the watch continues to operate with an average monthly accuracy of ±15 seconds.
Automatic Time and Calendar Functions
Caliber 7B62 includes automatic and manual signal reception, reception-result display, time-difference adjustment and automatic hand-position correction. Its full-auto calendar is programmed through December 31, 2099.
The movement also includes quick-start, overcharge-prevention and power-save functions for practical solar-powered operation.
Lightweight Titanium Construction
The case and bracelet are made from pure titanium and protected by SEIKO's DiaShield surface treatment. The construction is also identified by SEIKO as resistant to metal allergies.
The titanium bracelet is secured by a push-button three-fold clasp with a smart-adjuster mechanism. This system allows fine adjustment of the bracelet fit without removing links. The maximum compatible wrist circumference is approximately 188 mm.
Practical Everyday Performance
The SBXY099 has enhanced water resistance for daily use at 10 bar and confirmed magnetic resistance. Its slim titanium construction, automatic time correction and long solar operating period make it suitable for regular business and everyday use.
