The SEIKO PROSPEX SBDJ063 is a solar-powered men’s diver’s watch created for dependable performance and comfortable everyday wear. It combines a highly legible black dial, a stainless-steel case and bracelet, sapphire crystal and 200 m air-diving water resistance in a practical 41.0 mm case.
Clear and Functional Diver’s Design
The black dial uses bold hour markers and clearly defined hands for quick reading. Its simplified hour and minute hands preserve the strong appearance expected from a diver’s watch while giving the dial a clean design suitable for everyday use.
LumiBrite is applied to the hands, hour markers and bezel, supporting visibility in dark environments. A date window adds everyday convenience without distracting from the functional dial layout.
Solar Caliber V157
The SBDJ063 is powered by SEIKO’s solar Caliber V157. Light captured through the dial is converted into electrical energy, reducing the need for conventional battery replacement. When fully charged, the watch operates for approximately ten months.
The movement provides an average monthly accuracy of ±15 seconds and includes overcharge prevention, an instant-start function and a date calendar. The movement uses two jewels.
Compact Stainless-Steel Construction
The stainless-steel case measures 41.0 mm across, 48.8 mm from lug to lug and 11.3 mm thick. Its relatively slim, low-profile construction is designed to sit securely and comfortably on the wrist while retaining the solid character of a professional-style diver’s watch.
A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial. The case also features a screw-down crown, screw case back and unidirectional rotating bezel.
Diver’s Bracelet and 200 m Water Resistance
The stainless-steel bracelet is fitted with a secure three-fold clasp, push-button release and diver extension. It accommodates a maximum wrist circumference of approximately 200 mm and connects to the case at 20 mm lugs.
The watch provides 200 m air-diving water resistance and magnetic resistance. Its unidirectional bezel, luminous display and secure crown and clasp construction support its function as a practical diving instrument.
