The SEIKO PROSPEX SBDJ065 is a Japanese-market solar diver designed to combine professional diving capability with a practical size for everyday wear. New-Standard Solar Diver Design
Developed as part of SEIKO's new-standard solar diver range, the SBDJ065 uses a 41.0 mm case that balances wrist presence with comfortable wearability. Its comparatively slim 11.3 mm profile and low-center-of-gravity case design help the watch sit securely on the wrist.
The black dial retains the bold visual character expected of a professional diver's watch while using straightforward hour and minute hands for clear, at-a-glance reading. LumiBrite is applied to the hands, hour markers and bezel marker to support visibility in dark environments.
Hard-Coated Stainless-Steel Construction
The stainless-steel case and matching bracelet feature a dark hard coating, giving the watch its distinctive all-black appearance. The case is fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown and a screw case back.
A unidirectional rotating bezel helps prevent accidental extension of a recorded dive time. The bracelet is secured by a push-button three-fold clasp with a safety lock and diver's extension.
Solar Caliber V157
The SBDJ065 is powered by SEIKO's solar Caliber V157. Light received through the dial is converted into electrical energy, reducing the need for regular battery replacement. When fully charged, the movement can operate for approximately ten months.
The movement has an average monthly accuracy of ±15 seconds and includes an overcharge-prevention system, quick-start function and date display.
200-Meter Diver's Water Resistance
This model is rated for 200 meters of air-diving water resistance. Its screw-down crown, unidirectional bezel, luminous display and secure bracelet clasp provide the essential construction expected from a genuine SEIKO diver's watch.
Japanese Domestic Model
SBDJ065 is the Japanese domestic reference, while SNE599 is the corresponding international reference. The watch uses a Japanese movement and is cased in China. It is a regular production model rather than a numbered or limited-quantity edition.
