The SEIKO Prospex Speedtimer HBJ001P is a solar-powered analog chronograph inspired by the style and atmosphere of classic motor racing from the 1960s and 1970s. Its silver-white panda dial, black sub-dials, tachymeter bezel and red chronograph accents combine vintage racing character with the practical performance of SEIKO Calibre V192.
Silver-White Panda Dial
The silver-white main dial is paired with contrasting black sub-dials to create a distinctive panda-style chronograph layout. The monochrome bezel, hands and hour markers are complemented by red chronograph accents, adding a clear motorsport-inspired focal point.
Classic Speedtimer Racing Design
The design draws on the flowing case shapes and recognizable details of SEIKO Speedtimer chronographs from the 1960s and 1970s. The sub-dials feature circular finishing and black coatings to improve visual separation, while the aluminium bezel display and tachymeter scale reinforce the watch’s classic racing character.
Solar-Powered Calibre V192
SEIKO Calibre V192 converts natural and artificial light into electrical energy. After a full charge, the watch can operate for approximately six months without further exposure to light. The movement also includes an overcharge-prevention function and an accuracy rating of approximately ±15 seconds per month.
1/5-Second Chronograph
The stopwatch measures elapsed time in 1/5-second increments and has a maximum measuring capacity of 60 minutes. The central chronograph seconds hand and the minute counter at 6 o’clock are designed to make elapsed-time information easy to identify.
Power Reserve and Additional Displays
In addition to the chronograph, the V192 movement provides a power-reserve indicator, a 24-hour hand, small seconds and a date display. These practical functions are integrated into the multi-dial arrangement without compromising the classic panda-dial appearance.
Curved Sapphire Crystal
The dial is protected by a curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. The sapphire crystal offers excellent scratch resistance, while the anti-reflective treatment helps reduce reflections and maintain a clear view of the dial.
Lumibrite Visibility
Lumibrite is applied to the hands and hour markers to support visibility in low-light conditions. The wide hour markers and strong contrast between the silver-white dial and black sub-dials further improve readability.
Stainless-Steel Construction
The stainless-steel case measures 45.9 mm in length, 41.4 mm in width and 13.0 mm in thickness. It is paired with a stainless-steel bracelet and a push-button three-fold clasp. The watch also features a screw case back, magnetic resistance and 10-bar water resistance.
