SEIKO PROSPEX Diver Scuba PADI Special Edition SBDY125
The SEIKO PROSPEX SBDY125 is a Japanese Domestic Market mechanical diver’s watch from the PADI Special Edition series. Known by enthusiasts for its rounded Turtle-style case, this THE GREAT BLUE model combines a blue gradient dial, light-blue diving indications and the automatic Caliber 4R36 with 200 m water resistance for air diving.
THE GREAT BLUE Dial
The dial expresses sunlight shining through the ocean and the movement of the water’s surface when viewed from below. Its blue gradient and textured appearance create a sense of depth while reflecting the marine theme shared by SEIKO PROSPEX and PADI.
Light blue is applied to the minute hand and selected bezel markings to improve the distinction of elapsed-time information underwater. LumiBrite is applied to the hands, indexes and bezel for visibility in dark conditions. The day and date display is positioned at 3 o’clock beneath a magnifier integrated into the sapphire crystal.
PADI Special Edition
SEIKO PROSPEX began its partnership with PADI in 2016. The collaboration combines SEIKO’s experience in developing diver’s watches with the identity of one of the world’s largest diver-training organizations.

Caliber 4R36 Automatic Movement

A unidirectional rotating bezel helps prevent accidental extension of the indicated dive time. The bezel uses a ceramic display insert, while the screw-down crown and screw case back support the watch’s 200 m water resistance for air diving.
Sapphire Crystal and Diver’s Bracelet
The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with a magnifier and an anti-reflective coating on its inner surface. The stainless-steel bracelet is secured by a push-button three-fold clasp with a secure lock and diver’s extension.
The bracelet has a 22 mm attachment width and accommodates wrists up to approximately 198 mm. The complete watch weighs approximately 198 g.
