SEIKO SELECTION SBTR017 Quartz Chronograph
The SEIKO SELECTION SBTR017 is a Japanese Domestic Market chronograph combining a deep green dial with gold-tone accents and a dark-brown calf-leather strap. Its balanced case size and traditional color combination allow it to complement business attire as well as casual clothing.
Green Chronograph Dial
The rich green dial is paired with gold-tone hands, indexes and subdial details for a distinctive yet refined appearance. Three subdials provide chronograph timing, a 24-hour indication and continuous seconds, while a date window adds everyday functionality.
Quartz Calibre 8T63
The SBTR017 is powered by SEIKO quartz calibre 8T63, with a rated accuracy of approximately plus or minus 15 seconds per month. The chronograph measures elapsed time in 1/5-second increments for up to 60 minutes.
The central chronograph seconds hand provides a multi-step movement during timing operation. Although calibre 8T63 is sometimes described by retailers and enthusiasts as meca-quartz, SEIKO officially classifies the movement as quartz.
Tachymeter Scale
A tachymeter scale surrounds the dial and complements the watch’s sporty chronograph styling. When used with the chronograph over a known distance, the scale can provide an approximate indication of average speed.
Stainless-Steel Case and Hardlex Crystal
The stainless-steel case measures approximately 39.8 mm across and 11.7 mm thick. Its moderate dimensions make the chronograph easier to wear with a shirt cuff than many larger sports watches. A Hardlex crystal protects the dial.
Calf-Leather Strap
The dark-brown calf-leather strap complements the green and gold-tone dial. It is fitted with a one-push three-fold clasp, combining the traditional appearance of leather with the convenient operation of a folding clasp.
Visibility and Everyday Durability
LumiBrite is applied to the hands and indexes to support visibility in darker environments. The watch also features a screw case back and 10-bar water resistance for dependable everyday use.
